Luke Getsy, the Raiders’ offensive coordinator, was not the only one fired following Sunday’s loss to the Bengals.

The Raiders have fired offensive line coach James Cregg and quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello, in addition to Getsy.

This year, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce lured Getsy, Cregg, and Scangarello to Las Vegas to join his coaching team. The results have not been favourable, and the Raiders’ offence put up a poor performance in a 41-24 loss on Sunday.

But the Raiders’ defence isn’t particularly outstanding either, and it’s reasonable to question whether Pierce is blaming his assistants when he should be looking in the mirror. Pierce has the Raiders 2-7 in his first full year on the job, and if things don’t improve soon, he may be fired as well.
