All Blacks call in reinforcements to face Ireland

NEWS: Following their triumph over England this weekend, the All Blacks have brought in replacements for the injured Codie Taylor and Beauden Barrett.
The All Blacks arrived to Dublin on Sunday to prepare for their match against Ireland on Friday night. Two additional All Blacks XV players and a returning All Black will be joining them in camp as injury cover.


With Taylor and Barrett ruled out of the Ireland Test due to concussion return-to-play regulations, hooker Brodie McAlister and flyhalf Harry Plummer will be called up from the All Blacks XV squad.

Ruben Love will also rejoin to the All Blacks team after playing for the All Blacks XVs in their victory against Munster, while All Blacks XV loose forward Christian LIo-Willie will remain in camp as backup while Dalton Papali’i and Ethan Blackadder continue to recover at home.

The All Blacks wish Billy Proctor and his partner the best of luck as they await the birth of their first child. Ruben Love, who played for the All Blacks XVs against Munster, will also return to the squad. Christian Lio-Willie, an All Blacks XV loose forward, will remain in camp as additional cover while Dalton Papali’i and Ethan Blackadder recover at home.

Billy Proctor will return to New Zealand with the All Blacks’ best wishes while he and his partner await the birth of their first child.
