Danny Rohl has said that Sheffield Wednesday will find a solution to their current transfer embargo.
The past week has not gone as well as anyone at Hillsborough had hoped. Before suffering an ugly 6-2 defeat at home to Watford, who had won only one away game all season before to Saturday, the Owls were placed under a transfer embargo due to a late payment to HMRC.
“Sheffield Wednesday can confirm a current EFL embargo, which we hope to resolve as soon as possible,” a club official told The Star.
According to The Star, they are not facing fines because all of the players and staff have been paid on time, and it is not the worst moment to be subjected to an embargo of this sort because the transfer window is still closed. Free agents are eligible for signing, but Wednesday manager Danny Rohl stated last week that he was not considering any such alternatives.
“This is a temporary issue caused by huge and unpaid monies owed to the chairman, which has had an impact on the club’s immediate cash flow. We expect this problem to be resolved soon, after which the embargo will be lifted,” said the spokeswoman.

The club’s German manager was questioned about the embargo following his team’s defeat to Watford. He stated that he expects the situation to be resolved and that his primary focus is on getting his team to the appropriate spot.
“We made the statement from the club’s side, we will find solutions and then we can keep going hopefully,” Rohl told The Star via email. “For me, it is more important now to prepare my team for the next opponent, it is a difficult one, we know this.”
The 35-year-old was understandably angry with the significant loss. Wednesday conceded five goals in the second half, including two penalties in a span of six minutes.
“This is our team at the moment, always the chance to go and make the next step and then we get a setback,” said the head coach. “This is the path we’re currently on. Maybe you think you came into it, but it’s all about hard work. You return to reality, and we will work hard, form a unit, and provide the fundamentals so that what we do is correct.
“No mistake, when I compare all of that, we’ve never had so many easy scenarios against us. This is difficult to take.”
Sheffield Wednesday need to get back to what worked for them last season
Nobody would have predicted, given the Owls’ supposedly successful summer, that calls to return to last season’s form would be voiced.
It may appear weird, but they were better at the end of the previous campaign than they are now.
Wednesday conceded 16 goals in their final 16 games last season, including a 6-0 loss to Ipswich Town. In their first 13 games of the season, they have conceded 24 goals.

The defensive stability and organization that they formerly had are no longer present, and this is what is letting them down in many of their encounters.
