Adam Idah has been photographed practicing with his Celtic teammates at Lennoxtown, just six days after getting hurt against Motherwell.
There were fears that the striker might be sidelined for an extended amount of time, but photographs from training this morning appear to rule that out ahead of Saturday’s League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen.
During the 3-0 victory at Fir Park on Sunday, Idah was subjected to a hard challenge from Liam Gordon in stoppage time.
Idah played on but departed Fir Park with his foot in a moonboot, missing Wednesday’s 2-0 home win over Dundee.
With Kyogo Furuhashi as the only other legitimate striker in the first-team squad, Idah’s departure leaves Rodgers with few choices, albeit Daizen Maeda offered adequate insurance at the start of the season.
Following the cup match against Aberdeen, Celtic face RB Leipzig at home on Tuesday, followed by Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday, November 10, before the international break.
