Sheffield United, Leeds United, and Tottenham Hotspur among clubs to have ‘checked on’ highly-rated winger

Leeds United and Sheffield United are among the clubs reported to have watched Hammarby winger Bazoumana Toure.

The left-sided winger is only 18 years old and already plays regularly in Sweden’s top league.
In the 2024 season, he had nine goals and four assists in 21 appearances.

His exploits do not appear to have gone unnoticed, with The Boot Room reporting that Leeds and Sheffield United both kept an eye on him over the weekend.
However, the Yorkshire teams are not the only ones who appear to be interested in the highly regarded wideman.
Representatives from a wide range of clubs are thought to have attended Toure’s game, including Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Celtic.

Toure is also making waves on the international stage, having represented Ivory Coast’s under-20 team.

Gems can often be unearthed outside Europe’s ‘big four’ divisions, as evidenced by Leeds’ signing of Wilfried Gnonto.
He was signed from FC Zurich in Switzerland for a small amount in 2022 and would surely net Leeds a large profit if he was sold in January.

Sheffield United turned to Sweden last year to sign Benie Traore from Hacken, but his lackluster performance at Bramall Lane serves as a warning tale.
