Community: Fire on East Dulwich Grove

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a flat fire on East Dulwich Grove in East Dulwich early yesterday evening.

Part of the roof of a mid-terraced house converted into flats was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders from Old Kent Road Fire Station was used as an observation tower, providing a vantage point for incident commanders to assess the scene.

The Brigade was called at 1822 and the fire was under control by 1946. Fire crews from Peckham, New Cross, Brixton and Tooting fire stations were in attendance.

The fire is believed to have been accidental. (Source: London Fire Brigade incidents)
