‘You have to…’ – Pundit fires Clement exit warning live on air ahead of Rangers v St Mirren

‘You have to…’ – Pundit fires Clement exit warning live on air ahead of Rangers v St Mirren.

Before Rangers’ matchup with St Mirren, Jamie Murphy fired Philippe Clement, a new sack warmer.

In an attempt to build on their thrilling 4-0 thumping of FCSB in the Europa League last time out, the Light Blues will welcome Stephen Robinson’s team to Ibrox on Sunday, October 27.

Murphy, a Go Radio commentator, has informed Clement that he must “win now” if he hopes to retain his position at Ibrox in the long run, despite the Belgian’s repeated requests for time to turn things around.

He stated, “After listening to his interview there and he’s asking for time, that’s something you just don’t get at Rangers and Celtic,” on The Go Radio Football Show (October 25, 21:20).

“You need to win right now. That doesn’t give us time. In addition, we won’t win anything this year, but we will be outstanding the following year. Rangers supporters don’t think that’s acceptable.

Will Rangers sack Philippe Clement amid Ibrox exit speculation?

The management of both Old Firm clubs hardly ever have time to spare.

Like Giovanni van Bronckhorst and many other managers who have occupied the Gers dugout, Michael Beale probably felt he deserved more time to turn things around following a hectic summer at Ibrox.

However, Rangers fans will expect victory right now and demand it. With Glasgow’s noisy neighbors winning trophy after title, managers cannot afford to promise titles down the road.

Clement will be aware of this. The Belgian will recognize that things must change soon even if he continues to request more time and patience.

Although the Gers’ Europa League victory against FCSB is a positive start, it won’t mean much if they don’t earn all three points against St. Mirren to at least stay ahead of Celtic and Aberdeen at the top of the standings.

After a sluggish start at Ibrox, hopefully things will finally start to move forward on Sunday afternoon.
