The match between AC Milan and Bologna might be postponed for months, according to a report.

According to a rumour, AC Milan’s match against Bologna, which was originally scheduled for this evening, might potentially be postponed for months.

Milan has been waiting for a decision on the outcome of their match against Bologna for the last 24 hours, and it was made on Friday night. After hours of searching for a solution, the game would be postponed. At one time, the club had four separate travel arrangements scheduled.

The decision has aroused the anger of the Rossoneri leadership who believe that Lega Serie A should have been stronger in pushing for the game to be played, and now the question concerns when the game will actually be played. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bologna-Milan will ‘be played midweek in February’. However, when is not yet known because there are further complexities to consider when it comes to the scheduling.

For the Champions League play-off rounds, the 11-12 and 18-19 clubs are circled; in the worst situation, both teams would be in the middle 16 and therefore be participating.

The Coppa Italia quarterfinals are already scheduled for the beginning and end of the month, so the outcome will rely on how well the two clubs do in their other events. But there’s a sense that a date that works for both teams will come up.
