Last month, Fábio Silva of Wolverhampton Wanderers claimed that he made a “huge effort” to join UD Las Palmas on loan during the summer transfer window.

Last season, the attacker failed to get consistent playing time under Gary O’Neil. He played 373 minutes in 10 games, and Wolves loaned him out to Rangers in January.

Silva was not featured in O’Neil’s primary plans at Molineux this season, prompting another loan transfer to the La Liga club.

Las Palmas has no option or duty to make his stay permanent. According to La Provincia, the Wolves-owned player is open to prolonging his temporary stint with the Spanish club.

The site also reported on statements made by the 22-year-old concerning his future ambitions. His contract with the Premier League team runs until 2026.

Silva’s immediate priority is to play well on the football for Las Palmas, while Wolves will make the final decision on his future.

“I say and repeat the same thing everywhere I go. It is not up to me. Wolves control everything and always have the final say. What I can say is that I am quite pleased here. “I can’t talk about the future because it’s far away,” he stated.

“I talk about the present, and the present is now training. I want to have a good time here. “If I do things correctly, the future will be bright, so everything must go that way.”

As it stands, the former FC Porto player must return to Wolves at the end of his loan period. Silva has two goals in six outings for Las Palmas. He is thrilled to have joined the Spanish club.
