Carlos Corberan, West Bromwich Albion’s head coach, honored his two-year anniversary at The Hawthorns with presents for every member of staff, in a lovely gesture.

Lewis Cox, a West Brom writer for the Express & Star, shared photos of Corberan’s gifts during his pre-Cardiff City news conference on Friday via his X account.

Corberan made certain that every member of the club staff got his gratitude, as he prepares to lead his team into the rest of the season with a unified workforce solidly supporting him.

According to the Express & Star, Cox revealed that West Brom personnel received a special gift from Corberan on Friday.

The Baggies manager gave each member of staff a personal ‘thank-you’ letter, along with a photograph and two bottles of beer, apparently to commemorate his two-year milestone.

His ‘thank-you’ note read: “Today is two years to the day since I had the privilege of joining the West Bromwich Albion family. I want to say an incredible thank you for your excellent efforts since I arrived.”

“I have complete faith in our training ground crew. You can’t do anything without a decent group of people; yet, with an incredible group like this, everything is possible.

“I’d like to recognize everyone in the club who has had a good effect on my life. In this message, I’d want to express my appreciation to the medical and sports science departments, secretaries, kit men, laundry women, ground personnel, media people, analysts, recruiting, managing director Mark Miles, and, of course, my coaching staff.

“It’s been a fantastic couple of years so far, with more tough but more enjoyable times. I’m thrilled to keep continuing now that we’re all together.

“Please enjoy the drinks and keep up the great work.” “Hello, Carlos!”

Corberan continues to demonstrate he’s a top-notch manager on and off the pitch.

Some managers understand it, while others may not; Corberan undoubtedly falls under the former.

When the 41-year-old took over on October 25, 2022, West Brom were in 23rd position in the Championship, with only two victories from their first 16 matches. They had previously finished 10th in their first season back in the second tier after being relegated from the Premier League.

The Spaniard had a lot of work to do, but by the conclusion of the 2022/23 season, he’d turned the club’s season on its head, transforming them from relegation challengers to promotion contenders in May.

They ended three points shy of the play-offs that season, but Corberan was definitely creating something at The Hawthorns. Last season, they came agonisingly close to achieving promotion with a fifth-place result, but lost in the play-off semi-finals to eventual promotion winners Southampton.

Albion appear to be among the promotion candidates again this season, which is impressive given the club’s previous financial constraints.

He clearly has the support of the whole club, and it looks to be an excellent place to work for everyone involved. The significance of creating a pleasant workplace is a critical, yet sometimes overlooked, aspect of a manager’s responsibilities, but it does not appear to have escaped the Baggies’ leader.

Albion will focus on their Championship campaign with a shared goal of returning to Premier League football in May.
