Nottingham Forest managed to get the better of Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, taking them to fifth in the Premier League table.

The East Midlands derby didn’t disappoint with an end-to-end match that involved plenty of chances for both Nottingham Forest and Leicester City.

Ryan Yates opened the scoring with a cool finish from outside the box, but Jamie Vardy popped up with the equaliser midway through the first-half.

A brace from Chris Wood in the second half sealed the points.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be disappointed that his side conceded but the three points is all that matters.

One positive was the fact that Anthony Elanga looked much more involved and used his pace well at times, but the end product is still lacking for the Swede.

However, one player has been catching the eye of Gary Neville this season.

Nottingham Forest fans are all in agreement about Elliot Anderson after Olympiacos victory

Gary Neville impressed by Elliot Anderson

Elliot Anderson has been a revelation at Nottingham Forest after joining for £35 million in the summer.

Interestingly, Anderson was missing from training yesterday ahead of the Leicester City clash, but clearly it wasn’t anything worrying as he started once again in place of Morgan Gibbs-White.

Ahead of the Leicester clash, Gary Neville was full of praise for the midfielder on Sky Sports.

“He was on loan, I think, at Bristol Rovers a few years ago. I came across him obviously with Salford. He was absolutely outstanding then. He has just got a lot about him.

“There is so much to like. I know Morgan Gibbs-White is a very valuable player at Nottingham Forest, but Elliot Anderson is a hell of a player and I think he will take some shifting.”

Elliot Anderson continues to impress

Elliot Anderson appears to just be getting better and better as the games go on, with his impressive England Under-21 performance followed up by two brilliant Premier League displays.

Kelvin Wilson couldn’t quite believe how Forest managed to secure Anderson’s services this summer, and Newcastle fans must be wondering the same thing.

Danny Murphy and Jamie Carragher have praised Anderson already this season, and now Gary Neville completes the hat-trick.

He seriously must be on the radar of Thomas Tuchel and England.
