Exclusive; Rangers Stars Not Used To Stress And Pressure From Own Fans – Ex-Scotland Star.

Former Scotland international John Collins feels that some Rangers players are just used to coping with criticism from their own fans when things go wrong for the team.

Rangers returned to winning ways on Thursday night, defeating FCSB 4-0 in the Europa League, but worries linger regarding Philippe Clement’s team’s level.

Aberdeen are making a strong push in the Scottish Premiership, and there are worries that the Dons may finish second behind Rangers.

The judgment is still out on the players Clement bought during the summer transfer window, and Collins believes that many of those at Ibrox are just not used to coping with a demanding audience.

He believes that when Rangers players face criticism from their own supporters, they are used to coping with the stress and strain that comes with it.

Collins stated on “The Warm Up” that Rangers players are not used to criticism from supporters.

“They are not used to dealing with so much stress and pressure from their own supporters, so that is the issue.

“The bottom line is top players deal with it.”

Rangers are back in Scottish Premiership action this weekend, hosting St Mirren at Ibrox on Sunday.
