Following his success in League One, midfielder Paik Seung-ho of Birmingham City recently received a new contract extension.
With each passing game, it remains more baffling that Birmingham City managed to retain the services of Paik Seung-ho. Surely any Championship team would be delighted to call upon such a talent? All being well, Blues will return to the Championship by the end of this season and Paik will resume playing at the lowest level a midfielder of his ability ought to be found.
Against Bolton on Tuesday night, Paik was everywhere. Fellow East Asian star Tomoki Iwata gathered up plenty of plaudits for his brilliantly executed goal which gave Blues an early lead – and a lead which, in truth, bar a couple of Wanderers openings, never truly looked to be under serious threat – and Iwata himself is indeed among the best performers at this level too.
