Paul Tisdale welcomed his appointment as Celtic’s head of football operations as a “huge honour” as the Parkhead club revealed a new strategic role.
Tisdale, who assisted Celtic during the summer transfer window, expressed excitement about joining the team and
delivering positive results. He believes Celtic deserves excellence in all areas, which the board and manager Brendan
Rodgers prioritize. Tisdale will focus on developing talent identification, development, and analytics to provide high-
level support.

club revealed a new strategic role.
According to the Celtic statement, the 51-year-old former MK Dons, Bristol Rovers, and Stevenage manager will
“oversee the development and management of effective operations to support high-level football performance,
including the identification and development of talent, in line with the club’s objective to develop Champions League
players through our academy and recruitment processes.”
Tisdale, who assisted Celtic during the summer transfer window, stated, “It is a huge honour to accept this new role
at Celtic and join a club of such pedigree and stature.”
“I am excited to join the team, begin my job, and provide excellent results. Celtic wants and deserves greatness in all
areas, and I know that the board and (manager) Brendan Rodgers strive for it at all times.
“In my capacity, I will do everything I can to ensure high-level support for football performance.
“I’ve known Paul for some time and am well aware of his work. I am confident that he will be a huge asset to Celtic,
and that his knowledge, talent, and tremendous work ethic will be critical to us as we move forward in a variety of
areas, always with the goal of delivering higher performance and increasing success.”
Celtic chief executive Michael Nicholson said: “We are delighted to appoint Paul as head of football operations, and
we are sure he will bring a new dimension to our work.
