Kyogo escapes Celtic bubble as Japan snub allows down time with a difference ahead of hectic schedule

The Hoops striker took advantage of some down time before another hectic period for Brendan Rodgers’ side

During this international break, Kyogo Furuhashi was once again unable to accompany Japan to the opposite side of the world.

However, Brendan Rodgers’ top striker has embarked on a personal journey, while his Celtic teammates Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate

play for the national team. In anticipation of the Scottish champions’ hectic schedule between their return to action on Saturday in a top-

of-the-table match against Aberdeen and their next planned international fixture card in November, he is taking advantage of the

opportunity to enjoy some downtime with a difference during this rare mid-season break.

When given the opportunity, most football players travel to places like Ibiza or Dubai to enjoy the party scene and the sunlight, but

Kyogo has been enjoying Iona’s views. There are just about 170 permanent people on the small Scottish island in the Inner Hebrides,

which is located off the southwest coast of Mull. The island itself is only three miles long and one and a half miles wide.

On his way back from his experience in Fionnphort, Isle of Mull, Celtic’s star player posed for pictures with a bunch of young Hoops

supporters, shocking the crowd, according to the Scottish Sun. When their father, Robert Allan, revealed that the 29-year-old had

autographed a top for the kids and talked about the bizarre chance encounter, it was a moment the kids would never forget. “It was

fantastic for the kids to meet Kyogo yesterday, and fantastic that he took the time to take photos and sign a Celtic top for them, especially

as he’s their favourite player,” he told the same outlet, referring to the lack of well-known football players on the island.

Ahead of what may turn out to be a crucial three weeks for his team, Rodgers will be anxious to get through the remaining international

matches without suffering any injuries. During those time, they play SEVEN games in three major competitions. Jimmy Thelin’s team will

get things off at Parkhead. Both teams enter the Scottish Premiership match with perfect records.

In the upcoming block, Celtic will also play two Champions League games: a home matchup against RB Leipzig and a trip to Atalanta. In

addition to their league games against Motherwell, Dundee, and Kilmarnock, they had the little matter of playing the Dons at

Hampden in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
