Celtic lose their top prospect as EPL giants’scout’ youth star.

A report suggests that Celtic may lose one of their top youth prospects to the English Premier League.

Rocco di Giacomo, the son of former Kilmarnock, Ross County, and Airdrieonians footballer Paul, could soon join Arsenal.

The 15-year-old winger appears to be gaining attention from the English powerhouses. According to 67HailHail, scouts from the North London club have been keeping an eye on Rocco’s development.

The adolescent can also play at No.10 and has played for Scotland’s Under-16 team. He appeared in the recent Victory Shield game over the weekend.

He made three appearances for the Under-15s before moving up to the next age group.

Arsenal are also interested in St Johnstone’s teenage defender Callumm Hamill.

Celtic have lost a number of young players to Premier League clubs and other countries in recent years. Liam Morrison and Barry Hepburn left for Bayern Munich, while Ben Doak joined Liverpool when he was 16, and Aidan Borland transferred to Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Celtic custodian Kasper Schmeichel appeared to struggle in a difficult encounter against Borussia Dortmund, raising questions about his performance and fitness as he enters the latter years of his career.

Former Manchester City teammate Richard Dunne expressed concern, stating that Schmeichel must remain watchful in order to avoid the dangers of ageing as a professional athlete.

The veteran goalkeeper had a difficult game at Signal Iduna Park, where Celtic lost 7-1.

Despite his extensive experience, Schmeichel was put under constant pressure by a tough Dortmund team, and while he made multiple attempts to keep the scoreline reasonable, it was a night when few players in green and white could claim to have performed admirably.

Dunne, who retired in 2015 at the age of 36, stated that while Schmeichel’s troubles were clear, it would be unjust to blame him alone.
