Referees for Springboks’ end-of-year Tests announced

World Rugby has announced the match officials for the November Test window, including the Springboks Tests in Edinburgh, London and Cardiff.

World Rugby confirmed the match officials for the November Test window on Friday, which includes the Springboks’ three Tests in Edinburgh, London, and Cardiff.

The Springbok Tests will be officiated by Christophe Ridley of England (against Scotland), Andrew Brace of Ireland (versus England), and Karl Dickson of England

(vs Wales).

Meanwhile, World Rugby has picked Morne Ferreira, a South African match official, to referee his first Test abroad next month, against Spain and Fiji in Valladolid.

Apart from the Test in Spain on November 16, Ferreira, who oversaw his first Tests in the Stellenbosch Challenge in 2021 against Namibia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and

Brazil, has also been appointed as an assistant referee in four Tests, including France v Argentina in Paris.

Aimee Barrett-Theron, who just became the first women’s match official to referee 40 Tests, has been named an assistant referee for three matches, including the

Valladolid Test with Ferreira.

Three additional South African match officials, Quinton Immelman, Marius Jonker, and Marius van der Westhuizen, will join the TMO panel for the Test window.
