Leeds United won’t sell for even 10X quoted value – Transfer reality will likely halt idea

During the last international break, we reported on the Spanish media falling in love with Mateo Joseph.

The Leeds United forward impressed while playing for the national U21 team, outperforming Samu Omorodion.

Jospeh had impressed so much that there was speculation that the 20-year-old might be identified and trained to play for Spain’s senior team in the next World Cup.

Despite a large pool of talent, the Spanish media has expressed concern that there isn’t much available in terms of a striker for the future, thus the Leeds United teenager was viewed as an exciting new prospect.

Well, he just launched all of stuff into the stratosphere.

Joseph scored a hat-trick for Spain in their win over Kazakhstan on Thursday evening.

He is being hailed in the Spanish media, and transfer eyes are opening in Seville.

Victor Orta relates to Mateo Joseph.

Estadio Deportivo, the region’s sports publication, headlines the Leeds United player as ‘a signing to keep in mind’.

They speak to his Transfermarkt valuation of €1.2 million as if it were a bargain. However, there’s no chance the Championship team would sell for even ten times that.

Victor Orta is in charge of transfers at Sevilla, but despite the local media’s excitement, given that the sports director played a hand in bringing Mateo Jospeh to Leeds United in the first place, this one may already be out of reach for the Spanish side.

Mateo Joseph’s contract with Leeds United runs until 2028, and he is represented by the Wasserman Group.
