Kaizer Chiefs are still reorganizing their technical staff.

The coaching staff at Amakhosi has undergone even more changes after Nasreddine Nabi was appointed.

Fernando Da Cruz left Chiefs a few weeks ago. In the meantime, it was recently confirmed that Arthur Zwane had departed to join PSL rivals AmaZulu. Recently, there was another appointment that was overlooked but nonetheless important.

At Naturena, Dillon Sheppards is still there. although in a distinct capacity.

In addition, Vela Khumalo and the former Sundowns player have been named as the new co-coaches.

“Kaizer Chiefs have added Dillon Sheppard to their technical team, strengthening their reserve side.”

“After Nasreddine Nabi joined the team at the beginning of this season, Sheppard was moved to the academy and downgraded from his position as an assistant coach for the club’s senior team.

The statement on Goal stated, “The 45-year-old tactician has now been appointed as the reserve team co-head coach along with Vela Khumalo.”

As a result, he is the only member of the Chiefs 2022–23 coaching staff still alive after Cavin Johnson and Zwane left.

Chiefs now have two former Sundowns players at the club.

Sheppards has been appointed DDC co-coach. Meanwhile, former Sundowns player Gaston Sirino was signed in the recent transfer window.

However, Sheppards has been a part of the Chiefs coching ranks for many years now. In fact, he helped inspire Amakhosi to the CAF Champions League final alongside Zwane when they lost to Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly back in 2021.
