Norwich City have simply struck gold with star who won 100% of his tackles v Hull City: View.

With three victories in their last four games, Norwich City is among the most dominant Championship teams going into the international break.

Most remarkably, the Canaries destroyed Hull City 4-0 on Saturday with to goals from Marcelino Nunez and Joshua Sargent in the first half and Kaide Gordon and Borja Sainz in the second.

Kellen Fisher was excellent for Norwich on Saturday

The Hull wideman Liam Millar, who faced full-back Kellen Fisher on Saturday and displayed class in the Championship during a loan stint with Preston last season, will have been the main worry for the Canaries going into their encounter with the Tigers.

Prior to Saturday, Millar had also been playing well; on Tuesday, he had scored a goal against QPR and provided an assist in the Tigers’ 3-1 victory over Stoke City in late September.

But in the afternoon, Fisher didn’t waver and put an end to the threat presented by the Canada international closing off an incredible day at work for  20-year-old

The Canaries rookie won all 100 of his tackles that he attempted on Saturday, according to FotMob.

Kellen Fisher stats vs Hull City
Minutes played 90
Tackles won 4/4 (100%)
Ground duels won 6/6 (100%)
Aerial duels won 3/3 (100%)
Pass accuracy % 75
Assists 0
Goals 0

However, Millar had a difficult afternoon at Carrow Road, mostly because of Fisher’s play. According to FotMob, Millar attempted just two shots and was removed in the 72nd minute. He was also unable to make a successful dribble.

Fisher has shown that he can silence some of the Championship’s most threatening wingers by effectively holding his ground against Millar.

The Canaries signed the England Under-20 international in 2023 from Bromley, a National League team at the time. Now that he’s performing so effectively in the second division, his signing seems like a major transfer coup.

Canaries boss is proving David Wagner wrong with Fisher selection

This season, the youthful right-back made just nine matches in the second division and 14 appearances in all competitions after receiving his Championship debut under former Norwich manager David Wagner.

However, Fisher has already received five Championship appearances and two selections in the EFL Cup under the leadership of new Canaries manager Johannes Hoff Thorup, who has shown more faith in the young player than his predecessor did.

It’s also evident from Fisher’s performances against the Tigers that Hoff Thorup has gotten the best out of the 20-year-old by regularly placing his faith in him; Canaries supporters will be hoping for more of the same as the season progresses.

Wagner led the Carrow Road team to the playoffs the previous year, but Leeds United destroyed them 4-0 in May.

So Hoff Thorup’s goal is to lead the Canaries to a top-six finish for the second year in a row, though he will be hoping for a better result if his team makes it to the playoffs again.

As the Norfolk team looks to push for promotion, Fisher is expected to play a significant part, based on his recent performances.

With their non-league acquisition, Norwich appears to have struck gold as he is flourishing under their new manager.
