According to a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity since no official announcement has been made, Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Christian Wilkins will be placed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery for a broken foot. He will be out for an unknown period of time.
Wilkins was injured in Sunday’s 34-18 loss to Denver. He suffered a Jones fracture, a break in the bone that connects the pinkie toe to the base of the foot.
Wilkins’ placement on IR means he will miss at least the next four games. This Sunday, the Raiders will host Pittsburgh.
This is another setback for Oakland’s defensive line.
