Jamal Musiala of Germany is in negotiations to sign a new contract with Bayern Munich, which would make him and Harry Kane the team’s joint highest earners.

Rumors have been swirling over Musiala’s future at Bayern Munich, with the attacking midfielder allegedly being courted by Real Madrid and Manchester City, two of Europe’s biggest clubs. But according to a recent rumor from Sky Germany, the Bavarian club intends to provide the young player with a new, lucrative long-term contract.

Bayern has plenty of time to work out a new contract with Musiala before his current one expires in 2026. The team has already started negotiations with the player’s representation in order to extend the deal until 2029 or 2030. Along with Kane, the 21-year-old will now share the club’s highest salary as a result of the contract extension. The current salary of the England captain at Allianz Arena is €25 million (£20.9 million) each season.

Following Kane at Bayern are players who make between €19 and €20 million a season: Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich, and Leroy Sane. Musiala currently makes almost €8 million a year.
FUTURE PLANS FOR JAMAL MUSIALA?
Due to a hip issue, the forward was left off of the German team for their next Nations League matches. When Bayern plays Stuttgart on October 1 in the Bundesliga, they will be hoping that Musiala recovers completely during the international break.
