Bailey Cadamarteri hailed as Sheffield Wednesday gem scores ‘brilliant’ goal for Lincoln City

Bailey Cadamarteri hailed as Sheffield Wednesday gem scores ‘brilliant’ goal for Lincoln City.

Bailey Cadamarteri, a young player from Sheffield Wednesday, appears to be really stepping up his game for Lincoln City right now.

Bailey Cadamarteri, a Sheffield Wednesday academy graduate, signed a season-long loan agreement with Lincoln City in the summer.

It follows his breakout performance in Danny Rohl’s Wednesday first-team squad the previous season, when the 19-year-old scored four goals in 23 Championship games for the Owls.

It seems that Cadamarteri would have a short amount of game time this time around. However, he has now made eight appearances for the Imps in all competitions.

Still, Cadamarteri’s time at Lincoln was a slow one. Michael Skubala, the manager of the Imps, stated that Cavadartari required some time to adjust to League One play.

Cadamartieri scored his first goal for Lincoln City shortly after, defeating Cambridge United under Garry Monk.

Cadamarteri was once again on the scoreboard on Tuesday night.

Michael Skubala hails ‘brilliant’ Bailey Cadamarteri

In the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, also known as the Football League Trophy, Lincoln City took on county rivals Grimsby Town.

Against League Two Grimsby, the Imps fell behind 1-0 but quickly pulled even thanks to a strike from Cadamarteri.

The Wednesday man jumped up to meet a free-kick, reaching the bottom corner with what was a tricky header to accomplish.

After that, Lincoln City scored the game-winning goal in the 94th minute, and Skubala was all over Cadamarteri and fellow goal scorer Jack Moylan.

After the match, Skubala said to the team, “It was great to get a late winner.”

“Though we got caught for their goal, I thought after that we pushed the game, looked lively and the intensity in what we did was really good.

“The two goals were magnificent. Bailey’s leap for his was brilliant, while Jack’s was an excellent finish.”

Sheffield Wednesday gem Cadamarteri is up and running

It was a nervy start for Cadamarteri. He and Wednesday supporters would have desired a goal early on to deflate his first nerves, but he appears to be back on track again.

With two goals in his past four games—both of which were well-taken—Cadamarteri appears to have found newfound confidence.

In the first half of Lincoln City’s match against Grimsby, he struck the post with the ball and also had a goal disallowed during injury time.

Skubala is starting to give him more and more playing time, and the results are showing up fast. Cadamarteri has also impressed the Lincoln City supporters.

You can be sure that Rohl and Sheffield Wednesday will be closely monitoring Cadamarteri’s performance in League One.
