According to pundit Carlton Palmer, Birmingham City has made yet another significant declaration of intent by agreeing to a new deal for midfielder Paik Seung-ho.

Monday morning, the Blues announced that Paik had agreed to a contract extension through the summer of 2028. The South Korean international stated that the club’s advancement under Tom Wagner’s ownership played a significant role in his decision to keep playing.
“People can feel how the Owners are changing the Club, and I can see every day how the people of the club – coaching staff and teammates – are working hard to be better every day,” Paik stated on the team’s official website.

“They lead League One and are doing incredibly well, even though they lost to Charlton 1-0 the previous Saturday.
The news that Paik Seung-ho, their midfield player, has agreed to a contract extension is excellent.
“Paik signed new terms until the summer of 2028 after joining Birmingham on a two-and-a-half year contract in January from Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
“This is fantastic news given the amount of interest that was surrounding him in the summer.
“Obviously he can see good things happening at the football club, and without a shadow of a doubt, I expect Birmingham to win the league and if not be very close.
It was the appropriate moment for Birmingham to lock him down to a new contract because “I expect Birmingham to be promoted and be back in the Championship next season, and you want to hold hold of your better players.”
The new owners and the money they’ve invested in the football team mean that exciting times are ahead. Birmingham may pull an Ipswich and make it to the Premier League in back-to-back promotions.
