Norwich City has shortlisted two candidates to replace Narcis Pelach.

Pelach has been the first team coach at Carrow Road since last year, serving under David Wagner and Johannes Hoff Thorup until being hired as Stoke City’s manager last month. He relocated keeper coach Paul Clements and analyst Harrison Glew from Norwich to the bet365 Stadium.

According to The Pink Un, Norwich want to reassemble its backroom personnel before their next match, which will be away against Pelach’s Stoke, following the international break.

Experienced Tony Roberts has already been named keeper coach, but Thorup denied rumors that Randers FC assistant coach Fatah Abdirahman had declined an invitation to join the team.

Thorup stated, “We are down to a couple of candidates, but we started with a few more.” I suppose we’re down to a few. Of course, there are some advantages to an international holiday, such as the opportunity to attend meetings this week. Without hurrying things, I believe we want to have the guy ready for when we resume after this break.

“I noticed some news articles on one of the candidates. That’s OK. Sometimes you might have multiple perspectives on the same issue. We’re going forward, and we decided to cut it down to two. Regardless of what the media reports, we know what is going on and are getting closer.

“But don’t rush since it’s crucial to make the proper decision. I hope it’s finished by the time we play again. It is crucial that we identify the correct candidate. Based on what I saw in the media last week, we made the correct choice to not proceed with that man.”
