Atletico Madrid and Riyadh Air have officially announced a historic stadium naming rights agreement.

A historic stadium naming rights agreement has been formally confirmed by Atletico Madrid and Riyadh Air.

As Los Rojiblancos’ primary shirt sponsor, Riyadh Air has recently arranged a deal to deepen their partnership.

The Estadio Metropolitano will now be known as the Estadio Riyadh Air Metropolitano as of right now, since the La Liga heavyweights have been in discussions with a new sponsor for their stadium.

With this move, the team at their 70,460-seat base in the Spanish capital would have a third stadium sponsor, after earlier agreements with Wanda and Civitas fell through.

In addition to their continuous bond, the deal with Riyadh Air, which is valid until 2033, would give a substantial cash outlay.

According to Diario AS, Atletico Madrid will formally announce the new moniker when they return to action later this month, while the international break is still in effect.

On October 20, there will be a Madrid derby at home against Leganes. Details about the celebration of this historic match will be announced soon.
