Norwich City and Lens linked with move for N61.5m-a-week at Fenerbahce’s Super.

Fenerbahce fullback Prior to the winter transfer window, Lens of Ligue 1 and Norwich City are both interested in Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Osayi-Samuel, whose contract is expiring in January, can negotiate with both teams to join them on a free transfer the following summer.

Osayi-Samuel signed with Fenerbahçe in 2021 after leaving Queens Park Rangers, and he has since become an important member of the team.

He helped the squad win the Turkish Cup in the 2022–2023 season, which has contributed to their current success.

Fenerbahçe is allegedly eager to keep Osayi-Samuel around because of his performances, and they’ve offered a contract extension for roughly 2 million euros a year.

However, the footballer is apparently holding out for a salary of 2.5 million euros, representing a 40% rise from his current earnings of about 1.8 million euros (about N61.5 million per week in Nigerian money).

The club is eager to extend his contract, but the details are still being worked out.

According to Fanatik, Lens and Norwich City are willing to offer him a contract to lure him in the summer.

Both teams are keen to bolster their defences and are hoping to persuade the 26-year-old to join them in the summer.

The Super Eagles fullback is said to be uncertain about his future with the Turkish team as negotiations are still continuing.

Austin Eguavoen, the temporary manager of the Super Eagles, called up Osayi-Samuel for Nigeria’s forthcoming doubleheader against Libya.

On Friday, October 11, in Uyo, Nigeria will play Libya. The 26-year-old, who missed the previous two games against Benin and Rwanda, will be looking to earn his nineteenth cap.

Fenerbahçe needs to reach a deal with Osayi-Samuel before his contract expires in order to keep him for free the following summer.
