Mathys Tel of Bayern Munich was compelled to leave the France U21 team.

According to L’Équipe, Mathys Tel (19) has been forced to withdraw from the France U21 team for the next international break.

Former Stade Rennais forward Tel has played just five matches in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season and is yet to record his first goal of the year. Nevertheless, he received a call-up to the France U21 team for the next international break. The team of Gérald Baticle will play two qualifiers for the European Championship: on October 11th against Cyprus and on October 15th against Austria.

Tel, though, will now miss those two games.The French striker will not be playing for Les Bleuets in their next games due to a slight shoulder injury, according to L’Équipe. However, the ailment is not expected to be significant.

Dayot Upamecano, his colleague with Bayern Munich, also withdrew from the senior squad shortly before his departure. The centre defender has an ailment to his hamstring.
