Andy Walker says 2021 Ange Postecoglou signing is now ‘fabulous’ at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers

According to Andy Walker, a player for Celtics is doing better under Brendan Rodgers than he did under Ange Postecoglou.

Identifying talent and turning it into a Celtic triumph was one of Postecoglou’s main assets as the head coach of the Hoops.

The Australian recruited Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, and Matt O’Riley to Celtic, and all three have contributed significantly to the club’s trophy haul over the last three seasons.

However, former Celtic striker Andy Walker believes that another of Postecoglou’s acquisitions has made significant progress while under the tutelage of current Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

Daizen Maeda is now an ‘even better player’ at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers

The Australian brought in players like Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, and Matt O’Riley, who have all helped Celtic win trophies over the last three seasons.

Former Celtic striker Andy Walker, however, believes that another of Postecoglou’s recruits has made tremendous

improvement under current Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers.

“I believe he can still improve, but he would be an excellent teammate to have since he gives you everything.

“And if someone’s in trouble, you know that a player like Maeda has got your back, and he’ll try and fill in for you”

Maeda has the capacity to both impress and disappoint Celtic fans in a single 90-minute performance.

Many fans recognize that Celtic is significantly weaker without the Japan international, therefore it is no surprise that Brendan Rodgers is pleased with Maeda and the figures he has brought in during his stint.

If Celtic are to continue to dominate Scottish football and make progress in the Champions League, Maeda will be crucial as long as he is fit and healthy this season.
