Former Hibs star completes Norwich City transfer ‘a long time coming’ after free agency wilderness stint.

Emiliano Marcondes has completed a move to English Championship team Norwich City, following a time at Hibs last season.

The playmaker left Bournemouth at the end of the 23/24 season after a loan spell at Leith. He has been without a club since then, but

he has recently reunited with old manager Johannes Hoff Thorup, with whom he worked during a loan spell at Nordsjaelland from the

Cherries.

Marcondes impressed in a Hibs shirt last season, making 17 appearances and scoring three goals. The 29-year-old admits the move
has been in the works for some time, but he is delighted to call himself a Norwich City player. Marcondes has 98 appearances in the
English Championship, having previously played for Bournemouth and Brentford down south.

He stated, “It’s been a long time coming, but I’m very happy to be here with the guys. I’ve already been here for a couple of days of

training, and knowing some of the faces has made it easier to fit in.”

Ben Knapper, the sporting director of Norwich City, continued, “We are thrilled to have Emi join our team. We think he can be a great

asset to us as we establish this here. He is a terrific player with versatility who has been promoted twice from the championship. He

also brings a wealth of experience to this level.

“He has also worked with Johannes before, so he understands exactly how we want to play, and he will really add to the competition

and options that we have available in our squad.”
