Reading FC team news: One change for Rotherham United trip

Reading FC team news: One change for Rotherham United trip.

Reading manager Ruben Selles has made one change for this afternoon’s trip to Rotherham United, with Kelvin Abrefa replacing 16-year-old Andre Garcia.

Abrefa replaced the injured Jeriel Dorsett in last week’s 2-1 win over Huddersfield Town, but teenaged Garcia earned his league debut in Tuesday’s 3-1 triumph over struggling Burton Albion.

Looking to win three games in a row for the first time since 2020, Selles has maintained a solid core of players to ensure continuity.

David Button continues to play in goal behind a back four of Michael Craig, Amadou Mbengue, Tyler Bindon, and Abrefa.

Lewis Wing, Ben Elliott, and Harvey Knibbs remain in midfield, while Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, Sam Smith, and Chem Campbell form an unchanged front three.

Matt Rowley, a young goalie, has made the matchday squad as a backup keeper, while Basil Tuma returns after receiving his first call-up to Malta’s national team.
