Premier League player worth £50 million describes Celtic hero Liam Scales.

Since Brendan Rodgers took over as manager of Celtic, Liam Scales has seen a significant improvement. He signed from Shamrock Rovers in the summer of 2021. In his debut season at Parkhead, the Republic of Ireland international appeared in a few games under Ange Postecoglou’s management but was by no means a key member of the squad.

So much so that he was loaned out to Aberdeen the following season. He performed admirably there, but a regular berth at Celtic did not appear to be in the cards upon his return.

Last summer, a permanent transfer to Aberdeen was thought to be a possibility. But Celtic had many injuries at centre-back, so an exit did not occur. Instead, Rodgers promoted Scales to the starting XI in the absence of others, and he has not lost his berth since.

Evan Ferguson has recently appeared on Open Goal. According to 67 Hail Hail, when Simon Ferry asked who his Celtic hero was, the Brighton & Hove Albion striker selected Scales.

£50 million Premier League player names Liam Scales as his Celtic hero.

Ferguson and Scales are international teammates. So it’s easy to see why the Brighton & Hove Albion star would choose the defender as his Celtic hero. That was the safe answer to provide.

It is worth noting that Celtic, along with Manchester United, was one of Ferguson’s favourite clubs growing up. He even tried out for the Hoops but ultimately decided to join Brighton & Hove Albion.

Ferguson has already made over 50 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion and appears to have been there for quite some time. The excitement around him may not be as strong as it once was, with names like Jhon Duran and Samu Omorodion gaining traction. But don’t forget that the Irish striker is merely 19 years old and has plenty of time to improve.
