Newcastle confirmed to be ‘elite club’ after signing £40m per season deal

Adidas became Newcastle United’s main kit supplier this season after the club discontinued its £6 million-a-year contract with Castore.

The club’s earnings increased significantly after signing a five-year contract with Adidas, generating £40 million annually.

Newcastle fans have embraced the transition with open arms, as the three kits made by the German sportswear giants flew off the shelves, while other Adidas-manufactured Newcastle clothing continues to roll out and excite, with a retro-inspired training line grabbing the eye recently.

Heading into the launch of the new kits, Footy Headlines had suggested that Newcastle would be part of the Adidas elite stable of clubs, with their third kit adorned with the old-school Adidas trefoil logo, but when the kit designs were leaked, the third kid, with its retro NUFC badge, wore the more modern three stripe logo.

Newcastle will be ‘elite’ Adidas partners from 2025/26

According to Footy Headlines, Newcastle will acquire ‘Elite’ status with Adidas beginning next season.

We’re not sure what happened to being graced with elite status for this season, but we’re glad to learn that it will happen soon, with AS Roma joining the squad starting next season.

additional than a throwback logo, being a ‘elite’ club comes with additional privileges, such as Arsenal receiving unique women’s shirts this season and Real Madrid and Manchester United offering long-sleeve variants of their kits.

Newcastle will want Champions League football to go along with their ‘elite’ status

Ideally, Newcastle will have Champions League football next season to accompany their elite status, making it appear justified to those who do not grasp how big a club Newcastle is.

We’ve like pretty much everything Adidas and Newcastle have put out this season, and we’re forward to see how the partnership evolves in the future.

They have a lot of work ahead of them to replicate this season’s clothing output, with each shirt being an absolute winner.
