‘Inevitable’ – Sky Sports analyst drops Clement’s sack conclusion at Rangers and makes ten Hag parallel.

Rangers sack update emerges as Clement likened to ten Hag at Manchester United

Kris Boyd predicts Philippe Clement’s departure from Rangers, similar to Erik ten Hag’s at Manchester United.

According to a Sky Sports analyst, the Dutchman and Belgian share identical post-game excuses and a failure to improve players.

The Gers are already playing catch-up domestically, trailing league leaders Celtic by five points.

Boyd, speaking to the Scottish Sun on October 4, compared Brendan and Big Ange to Philippe Clement and Erik ten Hag.

“Rangers and Manchester United are currently in the same boat. They win a game and are suddenly on their way home. The next catastrophe is right around the corner.

“Like Ten Hag after United lost to Postecoglou’s Spurs and then snatched a late point against Porto, Clement keeps making excuses.

“I do not like it. When you peek beneath the hood at Gers, you wonder which players have genuinely progressed under the Belgian manager.

“He spent money and brought in his own players, but I’m not sure where it’s all headed. Just like Ten Hag, it appears that the inevitable is only a few months away.

Kris Boyd is being too harsh on Rangers boss Philippe Clement

Boyd’s comparison of Clement at Ibrox with ten Hag at Old Trafford appears out of place given their tenures and circumstances.

Ten Hag has had more than two seasons to accomplish his vision with major investment, whilst Clement is just in his first full season with Rangers, dealing with significant player turnover and the integration of new acquisitions.

The Belgian has not had the luxury of time or financial resources that the Dutchman has.

Furthermore, under Clement, players like as Connor Barron and Cyriel Dessers have shown signs of improvement, indicating individual progress that the Sky Sports commentator misses.

Boyd’s forecast of Clement’s probable dismissal based on this comparison appears premature and does not completely reflect the unique problems faced by managers at their teams.

While things are not going well for the Belgian at Ibrox, any talk of him being fired is premature.

The club would be irresponsible to make such a decision before the new year begins, and hopefully they will not fire him.
