BBC NEWS: Alan Shearer makes a ‘difficult’ choice in predicting the outcome of Brentford versus Wolves.
In his weekly Metro predictions, Shearer stated: “This is a tough one to call.” Wolves are under great pressure, and Brentford scored early again last time out, making it three games in a row.
“With the pressure Wolves are under, I believe Brentford will win this one. Brentford are scoring early, which I attribute to solid preparation, warm-ups, and motivation.
“If it happens once or twice you may say it’s a fluke, but if it’s three times, you must look at who and what’s preparing them in the right way, so huge credit to them.”

Wolves can ill afford to surrender early at Brentford.
Brentford’s peculiar kick-off ritual has resulted in three goals in the opening minute this season, including against West Ham, Manchester City, and Tottenham.
It’s a clever technique by Thomas Frank, who understands that teams at the start of the game want to feel their way into the action, but by using a direct approach right away, he’s been able to catch some of his opponents off guard.
To have a chance of winning against Brentford, Wolves cannot afford to fall prey to this ploy and fall behind early.
If they do, O’Neil’s players would face a difficult task in the match, since confidence is already low, and losing in the opening few minutes might be disastrous.
Matheus Cunha is expected to play a major role in securing the team’s first league win.
