The Las Vegas Raiders’ coach, Antonio Pierce, has not ruled out defensive end Maxx Crosby for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. Crosby missed his first career game last weekend due to a high-ankle strain and was restricted in Friday’s practice.
Running back Alexander Mattison is increasingly likely to start against the Broncos, as regular starter Zamir White is anticipated to miss the game due to groin injury.
Pierce stated that Mattison was set to receive more carries after rushing for 60 yards on five tries against the Cleveland Browns. White has a 3.1 yards-per-carry average, whereas Mattison’s has 5.1.
Rookie Tommy Eichenberg, draughted in the fifth round from Ohio State, will make his first start since fellow linebackers Divine Deablo (oblique) and Luke Masterson (knee) are out.
