Humphreys decision made: Burnley team news and predicted XI to face Preston North End.

Burnley are back in Championship action this weekend with a home clash against Preston North End at Turf Moor.

Following their most recent 1-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at home, Burnley enters their next game with momentum. Josh Brownhill, a midfielder, scored their lone goal in the match against the Pilgrims.

In response to Vincent Kompany’s departure to Bayern Munich over the summer, the Clarets turned to former Fulham and AFC Bournemouth manager Scott Parker. Since then, they have had a strong start to the new campaign as they aim for an early promotion back to the Premier League.

The Lancashire team, along with Sheffield United and Lincoln Town, finished in the bottom three earlier this year, which caused them to drop out of the top division. They have only lost once in their first eight games and are currently ranked second in the table, behind Sunderland.Burnley team news

The Burlington Express reports that the team will conduct late examinations on Zian Flemming, an attacker, and Connor Roberts, a defender. The latter arrived in August after leaving Millwall.

Joe Worrall, the defender, has been ruled out along with Mike Tresor, Aaron Ramsey, Hannes Delcroix, Hjalmar Ekdal, Jordan Beyer, and Manuel Benson.

Starting XI

Trafford; Humphreys, Egan-Riley, Esteve, Pires; Cullen, Hannibal, Brownhill; Koleosho, Foster, Anthony

James Trafford stayed put at Burnley beyond the last transfer window and will start once again.Following two straight clean sheets against Portsmouth and Oxford United, the back four should remain the same. If Roberts is cleared to play, Bashir Humphreys will have competition, but he isn’t ready to be benched just yet.

Parker is expected to choose Josh Brownhill, Hannibal Mejbri, and Josh Cullen in the midfield. In eight league games, the latter has four goals.

Lucas Koleosho is loving the freedom he has been allowed so far this term and will cause difficulties for Preston.

Given their desire to have an impact, Lyle Foster and Jaidon Anthony being in the starting lineup wouldn’t be shocking.
