Agreement reached: 49ers land new Leeds kit deal after £50m Adidas success

The 49ers Enterprises, owners of Leeds United, have apparently agreed on a new kit agreement at Elland Road, following a record-breaking few months.

Leeds announce Elland Road extension plans

The Whites, led by manager Daniel Farke, want to improve on last season’s Championship playoff loss. Things have started well, with Leeds in the top six despite multiple injury concerns to key players and a summer shake-up that saw the departures of Archie Grey, Crysencio Summerville, and Georginio Rutter.

The 49ers have revealed intentions to increase the capacity at Elland Road from 37,645 to about 53,000 seats. Other significant goals for the stadium were recently revealed.

  • Significant increase to general admission seating, which at present would make Elland Road the seventh largest club stadium in the country
  • A core architectural design objective is to maintain and enhance the unique atmosphere
  • Phased approach to construction to minimise loss of seating capacity during the project
  • Bring Elland Road in line with UEFA Category 4 status, to be amongst the elite in European stadia
  • Expert team, combining global stadium experience with local specialist knowledge, assembled to deliver artist’s impressions and planning submission

Chairman Paraag Marathe stated, “We recognise how important Elland Road is to Leeds United fans and the wider community.” The potential to rejuvenate a century-old stadium, combined with the legacy of Leeds United, is unmatched.

“Our plans confirm our commitment to the club’s long-term prosperity, and I am thrilled that we will be able to welcome thousands more supporters to each game in a stadium that keeps Elland Road’s unique atmosphere. We look forward to discussing our plans with supporters and the local community to get their feedback.”

Another thing that pleased Leeds fans in 2024 was the introduction of an all-yellow away shirt, which was manufactured by Adidas.

The two have been together since 2020, following the club’s ascent to the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa.Leeds signed a five-year deal with Adidas at a record-breaking £50 million (£10 million per season). Now, a fresh development has developed between Leeds and Adidas.

Leeds agree to extend Adidas kit deal

Leeds United has signed a new contract with Adidas for the 2025/26 season, as reported by Footy Headlines. Their present collaboration was supposed to expire at the end of this campaign, but it appears like a new agreement has been agreed.

According to Footy Headlines, Adidas is considering adding additional clubs to the ‘Elite Team’ category, which would include original kits and the Trefoil badge on the third jersey. The Whites might be one of these teams.

Leeds United’s current away shirt sold almost 15,000 units in the first 24 hours, setting a new record for the club. Following this new update, Adidas and Leeds appear to be getting down together soon to prepare the club’s strips for the 25/26 season.
