Troy Deeney names two Leicester City stars in best XI after ‘one of the best performances I’ve seen’.
Troy Deeney’s BBC Team of the Weekend includes two Leicester City players.
The Foxes’ wait for a first Premier League win this season continues after they were trounced 4-2 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Despite two questionable decisions that perplexed Leicester’s manager, Steve Cooper’s team fell behind 2-0 before halftime.
After James Justin’s second-half brace, the East Midlanders tied the game. However, Wilfred Ndidi’s 90th-minute own goal and Kai Havertz’s late goal resulted in another setback for the Foxes.

Despite dismal results, Mads Hermansen’s performance stood out as a highlight.
Without the Danish international, Leicester may have surrendered seven or eight goals, but Hermansen produced 13 stops at the Emirates, one short of the Premier League record.
His effort earned him a spot on Deeney’s Team of the Week after “one of the best performances I’ve seen”.
In his piece, he wrote: “I know he was on the losing team, but he made five world-class saves that kept Leicester in the game against Arsenal and gave them a chance to win.”
“Honestly, it was one of the best performances I’ve seen from a goalkeeper on a losing team in my life.”
It was the first time a Leicester player has been nominated to the best XI, and if that wasn’t enough, Justin, the club’s top scorer, was added.
“I don’t recall him having much to do defensively, with all the trouble coming down Arsenal’s right,” the former Watford attacker continued.
“He then scored his first goal in the second half with a good header, and his volley to equalize was fantastic. So much might have gone wrong, yet the technique was flawless.”

Hermansen’s heroics headlined the weekend, but Leicester fans understand that it won’t be enough to escape an instant return to the Championship.
Speaking after the game, City’s shot-stopper noted that Arsenal had 36 efforts on goal, which cannot be replicated.
“I’m disappointed first and foremost,” Hermansen told the club.”It was a tough game, of course. They’re a wonderful squad with good players, and they performed admirably. It wasn’t easy.
“I must admit, that was a little too much today. We allowed 36 shots on goal. That’s just too much, regardless of who you play. We must consider where we may improve and strive to do better in the future.
