Tips For Saints Supporters Visiting The Emirates From Arsenal ISA

Tips For Saints Supporters Visiting The Emirates From Arsenal ISA.

Our friends at the Arsenal Independent Supporters Association have provided us their guide, which includes all the information you’ll

need about the stadium, including costs and options for food and drink, for supporters who will be visiting the Emirates on Saturday.

1) Entering the stadium. The turnstiles will open 90 minutes prior to the start of play.

The advice is to attempt to come early (60+ minutes?) because entering the Emirates now requires a lengthy process. In the final

fifteen minutes before kickoff, things can occasionally get really crazy.

* Highbury and Islington (Victoria), Holloway Road, Finsbury Park, and Arsenal (all on the Piccadilly line) are all close enough to the

ground to walk to in ten minutes or less. You can’t utilize it after if you’re coming from Holloway Road.

The two hours that follow the game’s conclusion are spent closed. Carpooling supporters, please refer to (6) below.

2) Size of bag. Nothing exceeds A4 as the upper bound. Thus, a tiny backpack or

purse. But bring as little as you can when you travel. As usual, no bottles are allowed; a formal list of goods that are forbidden is

provided below. Every bag is inspected and marked before being let inside. We advise utilizing a string or clear bag; this will speed up

entry since they can see what you have and won’t have to pour the contents onto a table.

3) No ‘away’ pub is in the area. The Drayton,  If alcohol is desired, it must be purchased inside the stadium, unfortunately at Arsenal

prices (see below). Soft beverages and nibbles in tiny plastic flasks or bottles are allowed (as long as they fit into that tiny bag!). A pub

by the main line stations is your best bet.

4) The Emirates is CASHLESS so if you want to buy anything inside, you’ll need
plastic or your mobile to pay.

5)There is food within the Emirates. It’s not cheap, but it’s also not horrible.

There is very little right outside the stadium on the concourse other than restrooms and programs. However, there are some excellent

small cafés around the concourse where you can grab something to eat (the “Wagon Café,” a really nice café that is visible from the

“away” entrance, welcomes all supporters).

If you have your mobile maps with you, you may find a ton of additional cafes and eateries a little bit farther away by going along

Gillespie Road, Blackstock Road, Finsbury Park, or left or right from Arsenal tube. in addition to the typical number of burger vans on

the streets that encircle the stadium.

6) If you come by car.

The usual parking issues (generally, no parking available) have been exacerbated by Low Traffic Neighbourhoods. Roads around the

stadium have been closed, but not physically – by barely visible signs, with camera enforcement (and £130 fines). If drivers see a low

flying motorbike over a car sign (left) don’t go past it.

7) The club tells us, ‘For any ticketing enquiries on matchday, the Box Office is

situated next to the Armoury Store on the west side of the Stadium.’ That’s the

Holloway Road Tube station side, not the Arsenal tube side, so if you come from the

latter, you have cross bridges to the pedestrianised exterior of the stadium and

down steps to the ‘west’ side.

8) There are public toilets in the area immediately surrounding the outside of

stadium. So no matter how desperate, please don’t use people’s gardens. (It’s hard

to believe but some fans do.)

9) There is a Foodbank donation point opposite turnstile entrances F and G (along

the side of the stadium from the Away entrances – to your right as you look at the

clock on the stadium exterior). It takes cash and card donations as well as canned

food, if you’re feeling philanthropic and generous before the match!

Below is a menu from inside the stadium. There’s also a whole load of bumph that

our club sends yours, and we’ve put in links to that at the end. (Some computers

need you need to copy and paste to make them come alive.)
