NFL analyst suggests that Davante Adams may be done playing for the Raiders
One is alive and well!
There is a fresh trade rumor involving Davante Adams, so stop what you’re doing. It has already gained some traction online, enough for Antonio Pierce to notice and find it appealing. According to recent rumors, Davante Adams’ time with the Raiders is over, and his days of suiting up in silver and black are long gone. How succulent! You can probably guess which team this report says Adams will be joining!
A SI reporter says he has heard Davante Adams’s contract with the Raiders is ending.
“Do not be surprised if Davante Adams has already played his last snap with the Raiders,” he said. “I’ve got little birds all over. Sometimes I’m like Varys. Some of my little birds out there are suggesting that to me that there’s a chance he doesn’t play another down for the Raiders, and that he could have played yesterday, but the Raiders are looking to deal him because they think they could get some value for him. And they know they’re going nowhere this year, especially with the quarterback situation they have right now. And I know there will be no shortage of teams that will be looking to try and aquire him, and I’m guessing the number one team on that list is the New York Jets.”
Yes, I don’t really get this. This Sports Illustrated “Senior Fantasy Analyst” has the biggest insider knowledge of the NFL season thus far. And the Raiders are mentioned at random? In the middle of reporting anything, anyone who cheerfully refers to his sources as “little birds” and likens himself to a character from Game of Thrones deserves to be kept at a distance. And surprise! He believes the Jets will ultimately make the trade! Innovative content. It sounds great when he says things like, “If the Raiders get what they want in a trade for Adams, he’s going to be gone,” but all he’s really saying is, “If the Raiders agree to terms on a trade, they’ll trade.” Who knows, though? Perhaps the “little birds.
