‘Tight’: Micah Richards and Gary Lineker discuss ‘mighty’ Leeds United on Monday morning

Leeds will play three games in six days, with the next coming on Tuesday night against Norwich City. Leeds then travel to Sunderland on Friday night away from home.

Leeds may be without Ethan Ampadu on Tuesday, but Richards was pleased with the team’s 3-0 triumph and fourth victory of the season, with Lineker emphasising the closeness of the game.

Richards told The Rest Is Football: “You’re not going to mention the mighty Leeds, are you?” 3-0 victory at home against Coventry.” Gary Lineker responded to Richards, noting how tight things are in England’s second tier.

“I don’t have to because you just mentioned it. The championship’s top tier is extremely competitive. “I believe six clubs are separated by about three points, but I suppose you would expect that,” Lineker remarked of Leeds.

Leeds improved to fifth place from sixth on Saturday. Currently, only seven points separate first and 12th place in the Championship table, with Leeds trailing leaders West Brom by two points.
