After winning five of their first seven games, Sunderland is now ranked second in the table, just behind West Brom. They trail the Baggies by one point with 15 points on the board thus far.
The Black Cats enter their next match fresh off a weekend away from home setback to Watford (2-1).Wilson Isidor, a summer acquisition, scored for them at Vicarage Road against the Hornets.
They turned to Regis Le Bris as their new manager over the summer and the Frenchman has made a positive impression in England so far. Prior to his switch to the Stadium of Light, he was the boss at FC Lorient.
Derby County, meanwhile, travels to the North East after losing to Norwich City 3-2 in their previous game. In their match against the Canaries, they were unable to equalize.
