Manchester United eye £20m Sunderland transfer deal amid Celtic and Liverpool interest – reports.

According to reports, Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing the Sunderland player.

Manchester United is the team with whom Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson has recently been associated.

Manchester United, a dominant team in the Premier League, is apparently interested in shot-stopper Patterson as head coach Erik Ten Hag looks to compete with Andre Onana (Alan Nixon).

According to the report, Patterson is valued at about £20 million by Sunderland and is being considered by Crystal Palace and Liverpool. In recent transfer windows, Arsenal and Celtic have also been connected to the England youth international.

Since being brought in to replace Ron-Thorben Hoffmann midway through the team’s final season in League One, Patterson has been Sunderland’s top player under Alex Neil. Since then, the North Shields native has started all but one of Sunderland’s league matches. Nathan Bishop, ranked second, was selected to start the team’s final match of the previous campaign against Sheffield Wednesday.

Under head coach Régis Le Bris, Patterson has participated in every Sunderland Championship game thus far this season.
