NT manager dismisses suggestion of friction with Southampton player – Explains dropping him for October.

Ben Brereton Díaz of Southampton has been left out of the Chilean team for the October international break by manager Ricardo Gareca.

At the beginning of the current year, the 66-year-old Argentine was named manager of Chile. Up till now, the striker has appeared in every game played by Gareca. The forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Colombia will be without him.

Earlier this month, Ben Brereton Díaz played 35 minutes against Bolivia and 11 minutes against Argentina.

The boss of the national team had instructed the England-born striker to “learn Spanish” back in March.According to CNN Chile, there have been disagreements between Gareca and the Southampton player in recent months.

After revealing the team for the upcoming international break, the manager addressed reporters and downplayed claims.

“If I didn’t like Brereton, I wouldn’t have given him a call earlier.” The remainder is how you see it,” he remarked.

“I called him in all eight games before, but he needs to play that game in 40 minutes. That’s what he needs to do.” I’d like to watch him even if he has to play for 15 minutes. The rest of his teammates are in a similar predicament.

It’s his turn to go now because I want to look at other options that might present different options. That is all.

It would be devastating for Gareca to leave the Southampton player off of his roster.

During the summer transfer window, the South American signed a four-year contract to join the Saints from Villarreal. He’s played in five Premier League.
