George Saville: Great achievement to hit 200-game milestone for Millwall

George Saville: Congratulations on reaching the 200-game mark for Millwall!George Saville has mentioned reaching 200 Millwall appearances.

The midfielder for the Northern Ireland national team reached the milestone during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with QPR.

He commented to the South London Press at Loftus Road, “It’s nice, but I’ll probably appreciate it more when it is all said and done—then it will be nice to look back on.”

“I wasn’t really considering that today. I had the game on my mind. Obviously, reaching 200 games for the team is a fantastic accomplishment.

“My role has slightly changed over the past few years; I was more box-to-box and frequently made the box forward.” As I’ve gotten older, I’ve improved my understanding of the game and adjusted to play a little different role in midfield.

“Organization and providing us as a team with a framework to go and win football matches are important to me.”I simply enjoy venturing outside,” he said, expressing preference for his previous role over the current one. There is no better feeling in the world than scoring goals. But in all honesty, I just enjoy being there with the guys and doing all in our power to win, even if that means taking on a slightly different role.

Saville believed Millwall ought to have taken all the points out of west London.

He declared, “Really, we were the better team the entire day.” You should expect a rough experience when visiting Loftus Road. It’s about completing the moments that you will have. After we scored a well-executed goal, they countered to get the equalizer.

“That annoys us; it’s not our fault. We have generated and had opportunities in the second half; this season seems to be going that way. We have a lot of opportunities to score goals, so we need to have more points. It’s important to maintain optimism because, if we play as well as we have the last six games, we should be alright for the next forty-six games.

When Duncan Watmore scored against QPR, it was his fifth goal of the year.

After Romain Esse’s cross, George Honeyman attempted a late close-range effort, but was unable to finish.

Dunc is currently confident and might easily lash it, according to Saville. However, he takes his time and completes it.

“I informed George that he has been fantastic for us,” His work ethic, disposition, discipline, and character have all been excellent. Although he was unlucky not to score, he played a great 90 minutes.

“We’ll start hitting the back of the net once it falls for us.”
