Further troubles at new club for signing from Everton – ‘Condition remains uncertain’ as struggles continue

Further troubles at new club for signing from Everton – ‘Condition remains uncertain’ as struggles continue.

Ben Godfrey has had a very uncomfortable time at Atalanta and has had a challenging time adjusting to life after Everton.

He is clearly having trouble fitting into Gian Piero Gasperini’s setup at La Dea, as evidenced by the recent talk of an early departure.

Gasperini’s offensive, man-marking structure at Atalanta is considerably different from Sean Dyche’s tactical setup at Everton, and the Englishman appears to be having more problems these days.

TuttoAtalanta claim that because Godfrey never left his mark in Bergamo, his problems go beyond strategy and that he is rapidly turning into a case similar to Mitchell Bakker.

From a technical standpoint, the defender is still unavailable for Gasperini and his “condition remains uncertain.” Fit problems have made it difficult for the 26-year-old to adjust to a new tactical strategy.

Godfrey hasn’t played for Atalanta in almost a month, and following that appearance, he was benched, due to injuries.

Godfrey has a lot of work ahead of him in adjusting from Everton to Le Dea, since he was not included in the team’s lineup for the loss to Como.
