EFL pundit makes honest Derby County admission in score prediction for Norwich City clash

EFL pundit makes honest Derby County admission in score prediction for Norwich City clash.

Derby County will try to keep their perfect record at Pride Park when they play Norwich City in the Championship on Saturday.

Derby has gotten off to a strong start in the Championship, winning nine of their first six games.

The Rams are now two games out of the playoffs and in 10th place, five points above the bottom three. Paul Warne’s team is playing well since they are back.

Last time out, Warne’s team lost to Gustavo Hamer’s free kick in the second half, which extended Derby’s losing run away from home.

When Norwich City comes to town this weekend, they’ll be trying to avenge that defeat by winning four straight at home.

Sam Parkin issues Derby County vs Norwich City score prediction

Sam Parkin, an EFL commentator, gave his score prediction for Derby vs. Norwich during an interview with the Champions Check-In podcast.

The Rams are now one point and one spot ahead of Norwich, who defeated them in their most recent match in 2021, with a goal from former Nottingham Forest player Kieran Dowell.

Parkin is certain that the Canaries will continue their strong performance and end Derby’s unbeaten home record by winning this match.

Parkin predicted Norwich would win 2-1 and claimed Derby “rode their luck” in their victory against Middlesborough last month. He also indicated he would like Derby’s run to end at Pride Park. Derby, in my opinion, has undoubtedly been excellent. Undoubtedly, they rode their luck in.

“I think they have won to nil on three occasions, haven’t they? But I am going to go for Norwich to be feeling much better about things after that thumping win. I am going to go for Norwich to win at Derby by two goals to one.”

Derby County will need to be wary of Norwich City danger men

Derby’s success in the Championship this year will depend on them continuing their winning streak at Pride Park.

Without a doubt, Norwich will be a tough test for them, and they’ll need to be on the lookout for the danger men for the Canaries, even injured players like David Ozoh and Callum Elder.

Norwich demonstrated their offensive danger by defeating Watford 4-1 last time out, with goals from Callum Doyle, Borja Sainz, Marcelino Nunez, and Ben Crisene.

Josh Sargent, their striker, is maybe their most dangerous attacker even though he did not score in that particular game. Last season, the 24-year-old was unstoppable, scoring 16 goals in 26 Championship games.

Sargent has only scored two goals in his first six games this season, but the USA international will be itching to score more.
