EFL pundit gives Derby County reason to be fired up for Norwich City clash

Derby County should be fired up for their game against Norwich City, according to one EFL commentator.

DerbyshireLive gives you the latest Derby County news, including what an EFL pundit has to say about the club’s Championship meeting with the Canaries this weekend.

Sam Parkin has predicted that Derby County will lose their home record this weekend.

According to EFL analyst Sam Parkin, Derby County’s unbeaten home record in the Championship will be broken this weekend against Norwich City.

Since returning to the second tier, Paul Warne’s team has dominated at home, defeating Middlesbrough, Bristol City, and Cardiff.

Derby have had a strong start to their season in the second division, with 0 goals surrendered throughout this period. They face the Canaries this weekend.

Norwich come at Pride Park for the early kick-off (12.30pm) after a resounding 4-1 victory over Watford last weekend. And, despite Derby’s outstanding home record, EFL commentator and former Swindon striker Sam Parkin feels the team will lose to Norwich this Saturday.

“I will go for Derby’s run to end at Pride Park,” he told the Championship Check-In podcast. “I believe Derby has clearly been extremely good. They rode their luck in the Middlesbrough game, which they won.

“I believe they have won to nil three times, haven’t they? But I’m betting Norwich will be considerably happier following that crushing victory. I’m going with Norwich to win by two goals to one in Derby.”
