Hibs fans locked out of Rangers clash as capital club confirm they won't receive any tickets for Ibrox fixture - Daily Record

Hibs are the latest team to reveal that they would not get any tickets from Rangers for their Ibrox game.

The Premiership match on October 3rd might result in a top-of-the-table duel if both teams continue their present form.

However, there will be no travel support from the capital along the M8.

Rangers notified Motherwell that they would not be able to allot tickets for Saturday’s trophy day fixture.

This is because the hosts are using the customary away section to relocate season ticket holders whose seats are inaccessible owing to being in the mandatory “red zone” per JRG Covid regulations.

Hibs fans will have to watch from afar when their in-form team faces the Champions next month.

An email issued to fans today read: “We will not be receiving any tickets for the game at Ibrox on Sunday, October 3rd.

“This is because Rangers need to use their ‘visiting support’ area to relocate their displaced season ticket holders for their players’ Red Zone, the same as we have had to do in Block 5 of the West Stand.”

It’s a similar tale in Glasgow, with Celtic relocating their affected season ticket holders to the away end, meaning there have been no away fans at Parkhead this season.
